Born and raised in New York City, Esglo is known for his unique style of Electronic Dance Music. His passion for music began at an early age, as a first-generation American Latino growing up in the Heights. Inspired and influenced by urban dance music of the times he felt an undeniable urge to fulfill his creative desires through those exciting sounds that surrounded him. As a teenager, he took a leap of faith and started writing lyrics while attending high school as a performing arts major. Esglo cites his music as predominantly EDM based, a love affair that grew stronger as he came of age and entered the club scene. Not long thereafter he began producing his own songs, collaborating with other singers, producers and engineers, in the studios he frequently visited. Esglo's free-spirited attitude continues to expand his artistic horizon. Interestingly, you can often find him exploring the deepest, darkest corners of the city for inspiration.

EDM is the influence, but in some ways his music is far more wide ranging than that. It has the feel of pop music, in both a retro and modern way simultaneously, with effects on the sounds that give it a futuristic feel. One of the main differentiators between Esglo and other EDM acts is that the soundscape is much more like that of a traditional song, with vocals and lyrics that fill in empty spaces instead of sounding heavily sampled and looped. In his music you’ll find elements of Freestyle, House and Trance. It isn't too heavy and over-bearing; it's sharp, crisp and to the point. His style knows what it is, and it knows what it isn’t.

He enjoys adding changes and diversity to his sound through experimentation and ongoing influences. Adding to his diversity through artistic expression, he incorporates works of the visual arts into his projects. Esglo is currently working and developing his music though his own recording studio, Dreamstate Productions.
